Sure your work is a testimony to your professionalism and the ultimate way to say, 'thanks for hiring me.' But it never hurts to put that in writing. January is often a slow time for most photographers, the perfect time to send a personalized thank you card or a note (yes, hand written). If not January, maybe on the anniversary of a particularly important job. This simple effort to maintain your relationships can pay big dividends when it comes time for a rehire or referral.
Plus, it’s a nice way to start off the new year that everyone appreciates.
